Wedding Flowers and your Buffet Dinner
Wedding flowers are beautiful and deserve to be appreciated. Flowers will be positioned on your wedding day and are generally taken from the ceremony to the reception following. When planning the location of your wedding flowers, why not consider placing some on the buffet table.
If you are having a beautiful buffet dinner or a finger food table, a fresh bunch of flowers will really create the wow factor. Flowers are always allocated for the cake table for photos; however it is amazing how many guests will also take photos of the buffet. Your professional photographer will more than likely take photos of the buffet, and it really does look amazing to look back and see your wedding flowers. This will really tie the room together and create a sophisticated finish to your reception.
If you have booked with a catering company, do discuss this with them to ensure there will be ample space to position these of the buffet table. A good buffet dinner will provide plenty of options for guests, generally filling the tables. Your caterer can plan ahead with spacing, maybe requiring additional table space to ensure the flowers are positioned perfectly.
Flowers on the table can provide additional height to your buffet, and always looks amazing. This is especially so when photos are taken showing the length along with the height. If you are working with tall flowers including Lily’s, it is important to use vases to suit. Do ask your florist if there are any considerations with your floral arrangements, as some flowers can be top heavy.
It is becoming increasingly popular to maximise the exposure of your flowers. A buffet will be served for a portion of the evening, so flowers can then be repositioned as required.
